Children and Family

Virtual Vacation Bible School 2020!

Join us online in a quest to the frozen land of the North Castle to find the King’s Armor! This summer our kids will be taking up the gauntlet and accepting the challenge to “armor up” and be strong by remaining with God. Online resources will be provided for parents so that camp can be experienced in the safety of your own home any week of the summer!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

The link below will take you to our Children’s Liturgy of the Word, aka “CLOW.” These google slide shows can be presented on any device that has access to the internet. The CLOW slideshow will take you through a kid-friendly Liturgy of the Word, complete with prayers, readings, and worship music. Enjoy.

Beginning Aug. 2, CLOW will be
offered during the 9:30 am Mass. Children will be asked to wear masks and will be seated six feet apart in the school courtyard during the lesson. In the event of rain, we will have the students spread out in the school Multi-Purpose Room. We hope your family can join us!

CYO SOCCER

Believe it or not, soccer is back!
With the current pandemic, we are preparing for one of the three types of seasons:

PLAN A: Fields open up and teams from St. Joseph Parish will compete with other teams in the Archdiocesan CYO League.

PLAN B: If restrictions on youth sports prevent us from full squads and the CYO season is canceled we will form a 6 vs 6 league within St. Joseph Parish and School members.

PLAN C: If competitive soccer season is not permitted we’ll offer soccer clinics and instructions.

Our hope is to have the plan revealed next month. In the meantime, please know we are not collecting any fees when you register until we settle on one of our three plans. If you have questions please contact Lizzy Baird, sjpboyssoccer@sjpmd.org or Chris Wesley, cwesley@sjpmd.org

CYO Boys Soccer is for any boy who is a parishioner at SJP, attends SJS, or lives within the parish boundaries. There are four different age groups (U8, U10, U12, and U14).
